The environment is also your problem!

When it comes to the environment, many people still put yourself in extreme positions. On one side are ecochatos, creatures that like to go back to the Stone Age - but without eating meat - and curse the technological progress, on the other, is the class of not-to-nor-there, who sees environmentalism as prosopopoeia flaccid to cherish veal.
As with most things in life, it's maximum Aristotle: virtue is in the middle.
Shiite ecochatos caused, indeed, cause great damage to the environment. Shares of controversial groups like Greenpeace, disturbances of the status quo without any prior discussion and little campaigns based on a lot of people have created a rancid against any issue related to ecology.
We believe that no matter their stuffiness or bias - unless you live in a bubble, is in constant interaction with the environment. When you suffer with droughts or floods, when they have respiratory irritation when you choose vegetables from reliable sources, while enjoying a beautiful sunset, sun when it complains about the noise and visual, you reinforce the existence of this interaction.
Slowly the world is waking up to a balanced view of man's relation with the space in which it appears. The era of bombastic campaign behind us, what environmentalists seek today is awareness through scientific demonstrations of the damage was already done to the planet and what awaits us in the near future, if not rethink our habits.
The turning point was in March 2006 that: Al Gore, his Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, made a brilliant and lucid work of awareness. Deservedly, just received, with the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), the Nobel Peace Prize awarded Among the previous years are personalities like Kofi Annan, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, and Mikhail Gorbachev, which gives an idea the importance of environmental concern in the contemporary world.
Here in Brazil, ecological awareness has not yet come to many people. We have a government that sees the environment as an impediment to progress and aligns with the views of China, which already ranks as the world's biggest polluter. Many Brazilians are linked to the individualistic and demagogic speeches. About World Car Free Day on September 22 last, some said it was the freshness of ecochato without attending to the urgent need for rationalization of urban space before it reaches the chaos. And always have someone to call out "with so many children are starving, you are worrying about plant" in a reductionist and overcome the environmental problem.
Despite this delay, we are living in the year that the environment entered the agenda of discussions between government officials, scholars, economists and friends in the pub table. Gradually, there are alternatives, behavior changes, revision of values and consumption patterns that indicate a new way of looking at ecology.
The road of sustainable development is long. You can begin to go through it already, with small actions, or remain a member of egocentric staying stuck in time and space. So, what will it be?
